Van Halen Taking Over Howard Stern Show

Van Halen

I happen to listen to Howard Stern every fucking day of every fucking week. I have been listening for more than 20 years, and I think Howard’s the man.

That said, I hate that the dude is always taking days off, and just rehashing material from old shows, compiled as new specials. Thankfully, he won’t be doing that tomorrow — which is what I thought when I first heard the commercial on Sirius XM (one company) today.

Tomorrow, a special called “The Whole Truth: The Howard Stern/Van Halen Special” will air on Howard 101, and feature five years of Van Halen-related appearances.

The show coincides with the release of the band’s new album, A Different Kind Of Truth.

Stern’s tapes team pulled a variety of appearances from the different bandmembers over the years to really get a sense of the up-and-down history of the group and the back-and-forth bickering, resulting in an oral history as told through the bandmembers themselves.

“The Whole Truth: The Howard Stern/Van Halen Special” airs Tuesday February 7 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific) on SiriusXM/Howard 101.
