Let’s hear who this fucking new singer is already! Enough is enough. Less hyping, more divulging. Fucking give us the goods, Velvet Revolver! We’ve been waiting long enough. What’s the fucking hold-up? I mean, am I the only one who’s tired of hearing about what Velvet Revolver’s doing behind closed doors?
I haven’t written about the constant “VR auditioning” updates for a while because it was more of the same: These guys are amazing, this guy is amazing, we are so psyched, etc. But now, Matt Sorum is saying the announcement is probably nigh. Or maybe not. Who knows?
In his latest Tweet, Sorum says the band just completed a four-day writing and recording session “with an amazing singer,” which led to “nine killer demo tracks.” Sorum adds that “[We're] going to make the decision one way or another this week.”
Whether they tell us what they’ve decided this week is up for debate. They probably won’t. But my interest in the new singer is quickly being replaced by disgust for the withholding of information. I’m tired of hearing the hype. By the way, is anyone actually pumped for new VR songs? I know I’m not.
