I'd be her friend

Yes, folks. The opener for this year’s “Thrash and Burn” tour, featuring Winds of Plague, Chelsea Grin, and As Blood Runs Black, will be Volumes.

Volumes won an online competition for the tour’s opening slot, besting the likes of Across The Sun, Betraying The Martyrs, The Devastated, Dr. Acula, The Great Commission
, Onward To Olympas, The Plot In You, This Romantic Tragedy,
and White Arms Of Athena.

Some fierce competition.

Damn — and I was really pulling for none of those bands in particular.

In fact, I didn’t really care at all. This is a tour I am going to avoid like an AIDS-infected vulva.

Who else is on “Thrash and Burn,” which isn’t very thrash at all, if at all? For The Fallen Dreams, Upon A Burning Body, In The Midst Of Lions, and Like Moths To Flames.
