Within Temptation Sign New Deal

Within Temptation

Dutch female-fronted symphonic metal band Within Temptation have signed a new record deal.

I’m no fan of this band, because I feel like most symphonic metal’s as unlistenable as polka, but bring this news to the readers I have who love the band.

If I had any readers like that, I’d be surprised.

“We have been, and we are still hiding in our studios since winter started. With every writing session, new things are happening. We are experimenting a lot and are trying to hold on to this magical feeling,” says the band.

“We are looking forward to the moment that we can share with you where this journey has taken us.

“We are excited to have found a new enthusiastic label partner, BMG Rights, with whom are aiming for a release in autumn, which perfectly fits the mood of the album,” Within Temptation say. “As soon as we can, we will share more information about the new album. In the mean time we will see you on the road this summer!”

So, there’s that.

Nice way to alienate your fans there. I haven’t been a long subscriber but I do like Within Temptation a ton. I also like a ton of other metal bands. You should expect more from your readers.

Obviously I think for a music journalist you should be open instead of narrow minded. Offending people who like this by comparing this music to polka doesn’t sound very smart. But we all need to make a living I suppose.
