Wolves Like Us Sign With Prosthetic Records

Wolves Like Us

OK, so even I can’t listen to every fucking band that calls itself metal or some derivative thereof, so I had no idea who this band Wolves Like Us were until I got some press release about them this afternoon. But man, am I glad I know who they are.

They sorta reminded me of Helmet or Fugazi meets Refused with a dash of At The Drive-In, if that makes any sense. Just first impressions here but I like it. Bring it on, Wolves Like Us. I even like the band’s name, despite my usual disdain for “wolf” and “wolves” bands…like Wolfmother and We Are Wolves. And Wolf Parade. And before you comment…I like Wolves In The Throne Room, so back off.

Wolves Like Us features members of Norwegian bands like Amulet, Infidels Forever, and JR Ewing. Their now in the studio working on their debut album, Late Love, which should surface early this summer.

Commented Wolves Like Us drummer Jonas Thire: [We] are honored to sign with Prosthetic and be a part of a label with so many great bands. Even if we are a slightly more melodic outfit, we all share the passion for hardcore, metal and hard rock which is what we grew up listening to. We also had a wish to sign with an international label and the fact that our album(s) will be available around the world means a lot to us. Looking forward to the years to come and a great relationship!”

Check these dudes out. I like what they’re doing. A lot.
