So, I went on a blind date today.
A friend of mine got together with one of her friends, and decided I should hang with this chick…that we’d get along.
I don’t usually commit to blind dates because clearly, most of my friends have no idea what kind of girl I’d be into. Namely, I get set up with some real hags, and I have to fake laugh my way through two hours of pure agony.
I’m not shallow. It’s just, if you’re not attracted to someone, you’re not attracted to them. It’s just that simple. And half the time, I’d see my blind date from a distance only to watch her go from cute to gruesome, one repugnant step at a time.
This has nothing to do with Man Must Die, who will release a new album, Peace Was Never An Option, which will be released on October 29 through Lifeforce Records.
The album will boat a cameo from Max Cavalera, by the way.
So I went on this blind date and let me just tell you this chick was dope.
We met at a driving range; I asked her if she’d ever smacked a golf ball, she said “No” but was down to try it. That was the first sign she was cool.
She was basically a natural. After very little guidance, she at one point drove one into the air about 100 feet, and I had to clap. Anyways, afterwards, we got some sushi and after two hours of getting to know each other more, I walked her to her subway and we parted ways with intentions to get together again soon.
We shall see. She seemed really cool, and seemed to dig me. But you never know. Not until she kisses you.
I will keep you posted but I’m feeling good about this.
