A Life Once Lost Lose Drummer

Justin Graves

Just days after it was announced that the band had inked a new deal with Season of Mist, A Life Once Lost are looking for a new drummer, following the departure of Justin Graves.

Graves will hang around with the band until after their February shows. Then, he’s gone.

“So Justin Graves has made the very tough decision of leaving the band after this upcoming February four-show run,” the band says in a statement. “He helped create a sound that was not as common in the scene as it is now back in 2002 when we started writing A Great Artist. We have traveled a good portion of the world together but now he has decided to…pursue another dream.”

I wonder what that other dream is? He’s probably going back to school or starting a family or some such thing. We wish Justin well, and hope the band can find someone soon. It would suck if this held up the release of the band’s next album, which they’re working on right now.
