A Reminder About Opeth’s New DVD

It comes out on September 21 and it is called “In Live Concert at the Royal Albert Hall,” I think. Opeth are good. More gooder than your favorite band, probably. And this DVD will be most good. In fact, the band just released another clip to promote that puppy, which can be found after the jump.

Metal Injection also have a new video interview with the Opeth dudes, discussing the new DVD. Rad. That — too — is after the jump.

The DVD features footage from two sets at the Royal Albert Hall in England. During the first set, Opeth perform 2000’s Blackwater Park in its entirety. The second featured songs from across the Opeth ages.

“Opeth had a magical night playing the Royal Albert Hall,” explains frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt. “It was a dream come true, and now afterwards, it still feels like a dream. We got it all on film, and this, our third live recording and DVD, might be my personal favorite. One couldn’t help to think of all the fantastic artists that played there over the years. Looking back at this night of celebration brings me fond memories of our 20th anniversary — this package is the delayed birthday present.”
