Aeon Zen Exclusive Song Stream: “Warning”

If you’re into progressive metal and don’t know Aeon Zen, we’re about to change that.

Aeon Zen’s a recent discovery for yours truly. I admit it.

So I reached out to the band’s people upon hearing the band’s LP Enigma (in stores now), and asked if we could stream the following track, “Warning.”

Aeon Zen cite Dream Theater, Opeth, Symphony X, Genesis and Megadeth as influences. You’ll hear them in the band’s music, too.

Look, folks — you know I love progressive music, and Aeon Zen are just that. At times, there are moments where they remind me of the almighty Devin Townsend even.

The band’s new lineup, perhaps not coincidentally, is fresh from a tour overseas with the Devin Townsend Project.

The band’s new album was produced by the band’s own Rich Hinks.

Check out this track, and let me know if you dig these guys. The song takes a minute to really kick in, so give it a chance.
