This is the best news I’ve read since the day after Halloween.
Amon Amarth have a new album coming this June. No shit.
The band’s tapped British producer Andy Sneap to oversee the recording sessions for the new LP.
“We are still in the writing process, and are right now working on finishing the last pieces,” Amon Amarth guitarist Olavi Mikkonen tells Decibel magazine.
Mikkonen says the band wanted to work with Sneap because “we were looking for a change, and Andy has been in our thoughts for some years now. After meeting with him, we felt a good connection. We think this is going to be a ripper.”
You fucking know this record’s going to be amazing. It’s a given.
So, 2013 is looking like its going to be a good year for music. Especially this spring.
