Finland’s Amorphis have christened their forthcoming album Circle.
The new one — the band’s 11th album — is scheduled for release April 19 through Nuclear Blast Records.
Amorphis called on Hypocrisy and Pain head honcho Peter Tägtgren to oversee recordings that took place at Petrax Studio in Hollola and 5K Studios in Helsinki.
“Circle represents integrity,” says Amorphis leader Tomi Joutsen.
“Back in the days, when there was something special to talk about, wise men used to sit in circle,” Joutsen adds. “Not everyone was invited to join them. But in this story, the protagonist was invited among the wise men’s circle.”
So, there’s that.
