Even if the I/O 2015 convention has closed its doors, we are all excited to see that the Android M is no longer a dream. It was unveiled with a vast array of features and amongst them, there was a brand new app drawer included. What does this app do? Well as you can probably tell by the “drawer” word, it allows users to systematize apps according to one’s preference. The newest version is accessible merely in a preview form and can be set up on the following: Google Nexus 5, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 as well as Nexus Player. But if you are not currently using the above mentioned devices, this app also functions on Android L smartphones. And you will be happy to hear that you this app drawer can be installed in a jiffy. Just follow the instructions down below and enjoy this new app on your Android Lollipop device:
Here is what you have to do:
- Verify your smartphone to see if it contains the Google Launcher. If your handset doesn’t have it, set it up.
- Once you have Google Launcher app set-up, start by downloading the Google App APK file.
- Normally, Android prohibits setting up apps that come from 3rd party sources. So in this case, you need to go to Settings and then Security to make sure the Install from Unknown Sources box is ticked.
- When the download process is over, just go along with the instructions.
If by any chance you are not pleased with the new app, simply uninstall it from your handset. But if you are curious to find out how it works, have a look-see at the app which should appear on your screen, once you installed it. The app responds quickly and based on a few reports and tests, users are pleased. They claimed that it functions way better than the initial Lollipop launcher. Still not convinced? Give it a try and see for yourself.
