Asking Alexandria Guitarist Likens New Album To Old Slipknot, Mötley Crüe

Asking Alexandria

Can you imagine that?

Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce says his band’s forthcoming new album sounds like a cross between Slipknot and Mötley Crüe.

I can’t see how that’s even remotely possible, seeing as I expect the new Asking Alexandria record will sound like a cross between Black Veil Brides and Periphery.

“Lyrically, it’s a lot more mature than anything we’ve done before,” says Bruce, who is in his early 20s.

“It’s not so much about partying and fucking random girls and doing drugs and stuff,” he says. It isn’t?

“We’ve actually taken the time to write something that’s truly meaningful to us. The last two records were great, and we loved them, but we were different people then. We were a lot younger and had less experience. When you compare the albums, it will definitely show how much we’ve grown.”

Then, he said the album would contain “a lot of heavy riffage,” saying the LP is “very much like old Slipknot. But then the choruses and a lot of the bridges are more rock-based, which is our Mötley Crüe side.”

Fuck these dudes. They’re One Direction with guitars and combovers.
