Austrian Death Machine: Crowdfunding “Perks” On Hold

When Tim Lambesis launched a campaign to raise funds for his side project Austrian Death Machine’s third album, no one would have imagined he’d go and try to have his wife killed.

But he’s alleged to have done that so, while the crowdfunded record Triple Brutal will be out April 1, those special perks fans signed up for could be a long-time coming.

That’s because Tim’s schedule is a little unpredictable these days.

Those perks, including personal face-time with Tim and 99 personal workouts with the juicing frontman, have been put on hold “until we hear more in the next month about Tim’s availability.”

See, within the next month, Tim could end up taking or rejecting a plea deal, and that could have him either really available for the perks or the complete opposite. If he rejects the plea, there will be a time-consuming trial, which could lead to a life-altering sentence.

Says an update on Facebook:

“Thank you all for your patience and we apologize for the massive delays that we faced scheduling the release for the Triple Brutal. As many of you already know, the album is set for release on April 1st (not a joke). The stuff for anyone who contributed to the campaign ship March 28.

“We have been putting forth our best effort to fulfill what we have promised. If there are any address changes, please email [email protected] and we’ll make sure it’s noted before we start filling up packages next month. In addition to the CD, we are getting ready to manufacture all of the material for the perks.

“If we can’t fulfill the exact perk for whatever legal reason, we have ideas to provide cool alternatives. More info on that as it comes. Lastly, the in-person perks are on hold of course until we hear more in the next month about Tim‘s availability. In the meantime, we plan to include extras along with the CD’s going out to those people.”

Gym Lambesis? That’s a great nickname you gave yourself, Tim. I like the one I came up with: Tim On-The-Lambesis.

Lambesis remains out on bail.

His next hearing is set for February 19.
