Azarath: New Album Surfacing In June

Polish extreme metallers Azarath — which features Behemoth drummer Zbigniew Robert “Inferno” Prominski — will release its as-yet-untitled fifth album on June 6, through Witching Hour Productions.

Recorded in January and February at Hertz Studio with producers the Wieslawscy Bros., the album was written by Inferno and Bart, while Necrosodom wrote the effort’s lyrics. The disc will feature 10 songs, including “Behold The Satan’s Sword,” “Under The Will of The Lord,” “Deathstorms Raid The Earth” and “Lucifer’s Rising.”

“The character and atmosphere of music was changed considerably,” says Inferno. “The music is dark, ominous and spatial — in many parts refers to black metal and classics of the genre. Aggression and sonic massacre is not lacking at all — as this is our main frontline.”

Before the LP drops, a new EP called Holy Possession, will arrive on April 10 as a CD and seven-inch EP. It will feature the title track and a cover of “Rebel Souls” by Damnation.
