Last weekend, when I returned to my alma matter for a three-hour radio show (downloadable in three parts here), I met the new crop of DJs at WONY.
WONY is SUNY Oneonta’s radio station, which I was once the music director of.
I met a ton of kids at the station who, believe it or not, were way into power metal. I’m serious. Of all the genres, power metal seemed preferred amongst this lot, which was nice to see.
Power metal often gets a bad wrap. But today, we’ve got something to massage the power metal G-spot in all of us.
It’s a new song from female-fronted Finnish band Battle Beast, whose new album cover is fucking more epic than that time you talked twin sisters into making out for you at Six Flags.
The band’s fronted by Noora Louhimo, who is blonde and has a pretty striking face.
The band’s self-released album will be in stores next month on Nuclear Blast Records.
The CD was produced and mixed by the band at JKB Studios in Helsinki and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios.
The following song is called “Into The Heart Of Danger.”
