At least until this coming Tuesday (February 8), according to the latest reports out of Poland. Earlier this week, news broke that Behemoth’s Adam “Nergal” Darski — the band’s 33-year-old leukemia-stricken frontman, who was recovering from a recent life-saving bone marrow transplant — was back in the hospital with a severe infection; the tone of the article implied that perhaps Nergal had not carefully followed his doctor’s advice while recovering at home.
That beautiful woman he gets to sleep next to — Poland’s Britney Spears, Doda — probably came over and Nergal couldn’t help himself…he had to have some of that. This is all presumption on my part, but if that was — indeed — the case, Nergal, I don’t blame you, buddy. That fiancee of yours was built for sex.
Either way, this sucks. Reports claim that Nergal must remain in hospital’s care until next week so that he can continue to receive tratment for an infection he developed six weeks after he underwent that bone marrow transplant surgery.
“The patient is feeling well and is under constant medical observation,” Andrzej Hellmann of Department of Haematology and Transplantology at the Medical University of Gdansk explained. “Being in the hospital is certainly safer for the body.” Darski was readmitted to the hematology division of Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne (UCK) in Gdansk “because he did not care proper care of himself,” explained Dr. Maria Bieniaszewska, assistant professor in the Department of Hematology, in talks with news outlets.
