Today was kind of a sombre day for me. Not only was it the two-year anniversary of Dio’s death, but for my day job, I had to cover something kinda depressing. I don’t really wanna get into it, but needless to say, the kind of news I was covering never ends happily.
Still, something about the day seemed right. It was beautiful out, but somehow, things in the world just felt…good.
The photo in this post may explain why. It shows drummer Blake Richardson and producer Jamie King tuning drums in the studio.
That can only mean the sessions for Between The Buried and Me’s forthcoming album have begun.
The album follows the band’s EP, The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues.
They’ve been saying the album will be Parallax 2, but I’m hoping they change their minds about that.
Recording should take little more than a month, which leads the guys right into their duties as the co-headliners of this year’s Summer Slaughter tour.
