Back in August, Black Flag founder and guitarist Greg Ginn sued some of his ex-bandmates and members of that other version of Black Flag, simply known as Flag.
The suit claimed trademark infringement.
Well, in October, Ginn’s request injunctive relief was denied, with some of the other aspects of the lawsuit remaining unresolved.
Reports claim a settlement has been reached at long last.
The two parties informed the court on April 10 that they had reached a settlement.
The details of the settlement remain a mystery, however.
Yet, Blag Flag attorney Evan Cohen says that Ginn continues to own the Black Flag catalog, name, and logo.
“Flag gets to be Flag, and Black Flag as it is presently known continues to be Black Flag,” says Cohen.
So, basically, the suit changes nothing. Cool.
