Some dude named Max Jury — a songwriter from Des Moines, Iowa — has released a four-song EP called All I Want: The Sonic Factory Sessions.
I know this because today, I received a press release about the album’s piano-laden lead single, “Black Metal.”
I fell for it, and checked out the song, which isn’t bad. It’s just not black metal at all, as you can imagine.
It is pretty tame, actually. Like the Counting Crows. Your girlfriend might dig it. Or your mom.
The following is a lovely little ditty about a chick who digs filthy, black shit.
I’m just surprised hipster kids are into black metal gals?
It makes sense. They are fairly dope, for the most part. The ones who aren’t heffers.
Max’s album will be out October 13 in the States (it was released today in the U.K., where he has a growing following).
Check out the following song if you’re curious.
