Tony Iommi is basically the best thing about Black Sabbath, so the fact that he’s still battling cancer makes me sad. Very sad.
Still, Iommi remains optimistic as he continues the good fight, and revealed his next batch of treatments could be his last for some time.
Iommi’s been returning to England every six weeks for treatment ever since being diagnosed with lymphoma in 2012.
“We’ve some good things lined up for the coming year, firstly the Grammys, then some dates in the U.S. and Canada, and in the summer a quick trip round Europe,” writes Tony.
“I should also be finishing my regular treatment and I’m hoping to not get so tired — all positive.”
That’s great news.
We need Tony around. Imagine the metal void his passing will leave.
