I love Chicago. I have been there twice — both times, for work — and think it is one of the most beautiful cities ever. It’s right on the lake, has an amazing park, architecturally-astonishing buildings and great fucking food. Chicago is awesome, and I’d love to go back soon. But I probably won’t. My ass is broke.
Why am I talking about Chicago? Because there’s this pretty sick band from Chicago called Black September, and they’ve just inked a deal with Prosthetic Records.
The label will re-release the band’s latest effort, The Forbidden Gates Beyond, on June 7. If you are not familiar with this band and you like filthy, black shit, then check them out. They’re fucking great…like Chicago is fucking great.
“The time has come,” the band says in a statement. “Black September is proud to announce that we have signed an alliance with Prosthetic Records for the CD release of our debut LP, The Forbidden Gates Beyond. We are honored to work with a label that supports the devotion and dedication we have to our music.”
