Yes, folks. Get psyched.
Savannah, Georgia’s Black Tusk is returning with a new EP, which will be out this spring on Relapse Records.
“This new release is a mean one,” says drummer James May.
“It reminds me of a new twist on an old days Black Tusk sound,” he says. “We got back together with Jay and Phillip Cope to turn this out with some of that earlier, brutal sound you might have heard back in the beginning albums. We figured it was about time to see what the old gang could do years later.”
In March, the band will take a break from the studio to tour with Ken Mode, Fight Amp, and Today Is The Day.
Black Tusk is confirmed to appear at this year’s SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas. Details and location will be announced shortly.
Additionally, Black Tusk is working with UnBlock The Rock, an independent grassroots movement, working tirelessly to bring Cuban metal band Escape to the United States in March for this year’s SXSW.
