That’s right, and it’s not for a fun reason.
Los Angeles rockers Black Veil Brides have canceled the last six shows of their current European tour due to the passing of singer Andy Biersack’s grandfather.
That sucks. I have dealt with the loss of grandparents, and it is tough to handle, man. I had the hardest time dealing with my grandfather’s passing — apparently, not from embarrassment.
Sorry, dude. Your music might suck, but I am sorry for your loss.
“I feel it is necessary for my own grief and heart that I take this time to attend his funeral and celebrate his life with my family and loved ones before I head back into the studio to resume work on our next record,” Andy writes online.
“We promise to make up any dates missed the next time we are in this part of the world,” he adds.
Those dates affected include:
6/18: Le Zénith @ Paris, France
6/20: Stechert Arena @ Bamberg, Germany
6/21: St. Jakobshalle @ Basel, Switzerland
6/22: La Laiterie @ Strasbourg, France
6/23: Gods of Metal Festival @ Rho Mi, Italy
6/24: Graspop Metal Meeting @ Dessel, Belgium
