Today, there is widespread speculation online that Bleeding Through is breaking up. This, of course, shouldn’t matter because Bleeding Through no longer matter.
Did they ever? I’d argue they didn’t. Sure, their label made the mistake of handing over several grand to the Ozzfest folks to earn the band a spot on the bill in 2006 or ’07, but does that mean they were relevant.
Most folks I know never cared about Bleeding Through. Because most folks I know have taste, and its not all in their mouth, you dig?
A Facebook posting this week clams the band will do its “final” European tour in April.
“I know that some of you know this already. Many don’t…. Some people already think we are done,” the posting says.
That is so innocuous. That’s like telling a girl it’s not you, it’s me. That means nothing. Nothing specific anyways.
Bleeding Through guitarist Dave Nassie later commented on the post.
“I respect my band mates and all the hard work they put into the band before I joined,” he writes. “Unfortunately, yes man. I have been open about how I don’t want it to happen. But, like I said I didn’t build it. Just have loved every min of it and one person can’t keep it alive as much as I have tried. Please come out and see the band I have truly loved being apart of one last time.”
Good riddance. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
