Like the rest of us, Wes Borland’s probably wondering when Gold Cobra, the new Limp Bizkit record, will be out. I mean, it’s been two years since Fred Durst started hyping this effort, and we’ve only heard snippets here and there of new Limp songs. Not that I’m, like, feverish for new Limp. But I am curious to hear the new record…morbidly curious.
Man, my back hurts. And my neck. I have no idea why, but I’m in pain. What did I do yesterday that would’ve fuck me up like this? Maybe I just slept like an idiot. Anyways, so Wes has gone on Twitter to address a few things. First, the album “is being finished. We’ve told you before. It’s coming out in 2021. Please continue to have sex with yourselves.”
Of course, Wes was just kidding about 2021. But he’s right: Gold Cobra’s like the new Chinese Democracy. For reals, kid. Also, Wes says there will be no more Limp Bizkit shows this year, but “next year will be bonkers.”
The band’s South American tour, he claims, didn’t go down because Fred Durst “hurt his neck. We love you and are sick about not being able to come this year.” He also claims he is not joining Combichrist, but just filling in for that band’s three shows — including one opening for Rammstein at New York’s Madison Square Garden. “I’m IN Limp Bizkit,” he assures, because hey — you never know with Wes.
