So, I was supposed to do a phoner yesterday with the dudes in Bring Me The Horizon, but unfortunately, was asked to reschedule it. That’s because the British metalcore outfit’s bus was clipped as they made their way to the next venue on their tour — an accident that led to no injuries, luckily, but a lot of headaches for the band’s road crew.
The band is on the road with August Burns Red, Emarosa, Polar Bear Club, and This Is Hell. Fortunately for fans, the minor accident will not impact any of the dates on their current tour. According to a source, the band was heading to the location of their next gig in San Francisco when “someone smashed the bus;” apparently, an large truck “passed the bus and clipped one of the bus’ wing mirrors,” which costs around $1,200 to replace. The truck kept going.
Members of the band’s crew managed to catch up to the truck, but the driver would not exit the vehicle to exchange insurance information. So, armed with a plate number and a vehicle description, the band’s crew went to the station and spent hours detailing the incident.
Police tracked down the truck driver, but it is not known if he will face any criminal charges at this time. But the good news is, the band won’t have to fork over the dough to fix the mirror. “It’s all been sorted out,” said the source.
