Between The Buried And Me vocalist Tommy Rogers — who we spoke to last month about his forthcoming solo LP Pulse — will front Tacoma metal maniacs Owen Hart for a special, one-time-only, Pantera cover set.
The show’s been booked for January 8 at El Corazon in Seattle. The BTBAM-Owen Hart collaboration is part of a free benefit show with proceeds going to Rosie McPherson, the mother of late 3 Inches of Blood member Brian Redman.
According to Owen Hart guitarist Tony Wolfe, the collaboration was a no-brainer: “We cover Pantera all the time.” And of course, Tommy and his band covered “Cemetery Gates” on their The Anatomy Of… release, and handily, I might add. Tommy can do a mean Phil, believe you me.
FYI: Owen Hart’s debut full-length, Earth Control, hits stores on January 18 through Vitriol Records, the label founded by Jason Schmidt of Graf Orlock. The band will be on tour all year, and as soon as they get us those dates, we’ll get you those dates.
