Burial Vault Exclusive Song Stream: “The Nightly Horror”

Want to hear something awesome, folks?

Then head directly to the end of this post.

There, you shall find an exclusive stream from Burial Vault, who have a new album coming out May 24.

The following song, “The Nightly Horror,” comes from the North German death metal act’s second album, Incendium.

Burial Vault’s new set was inspired by Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451,” it turns out.

Burial Vault “developed a concept that embodies a metamorphosis of a human in an inconvenient future both on musical as on textual level,” explains a press release.

That’s cool and all, but what gets me is the music. To call this just “death metal” would be unfair, as there are elements of black metal evident. And the rest of the album’s too varied to just saddle these guys with the death tag.

To be honest, if this is just their second album, I am really looking forward to what they do going forward. This band is already pretty awesome, but will only get better. You can tell.

For you studio geeks, Incendium was recorded at Soundlodge Studios by Jorg Uken (God Dethroned, Dew-Scented, Defeated Sanity).
