Mark Castillo is moving up on the world. The Bury Your Dead drummer is now pounding the kit for South Carolina rock troupe Crossfade.
The band’s third album, We All Bleed, is slated for release April 12, and will feature 10 tracks that were produced by the band and maintain the “sonic thunderclap of Crossfade’s previous efforts, while propelling its guitar-grinding signature with a tapestry of orchestration and programming,” a press release says.
Not sure if Castillo is still in Bury Your Dead, who are now working on a new record without their singer. But this is a weird move, in my estimation. And to me, this is a bad sign for Bury Your Dead, who are seemingly in a state of flux right now.
Crossfade were dropped by Columbia in 2008. And Black Friday’s a slow fucking news day.
