If, like me, you’re into the Butcher Babies for their boobies, do not watch the lyric video at the end of this post.
Rather than what I would have release (a slow-motion, tit-filled pillow fight, where the pillows rip upon and feathers flutter slowly to the floor), it looks more like a Lifetime Network special.
The video is for a song called “I Smell A Massacre,” a track from the band’s Josh Wilbur-produced debut album, Goliath, which will be released on July 9 on Century Media Records.
I know someone who works with the band.
Apparently, the hot chick schtick is no more for this band.
“They actually have dialed it down (no more nipple tape),” says my source. “I guess they realized they weren’t getting taken serious because of it.”
So, the one good thing I liked about the band, they’re no longer doing. Dope.
This person — whose opinion I respect — further claims the debut album’s pretty good, and tells me i’ll be surprised.
We shall see.
