OK, so, we’ve known about this little trek for a whole now, and have had to bite our tongue more times than we’d like to about it.
But yes — Cannibal Corpse is definitely touring later this year, and they’re heading out with fucking Misery Index AND Hour of Penance.
That’s a lineup, folks. But wait, it gets even better. Deeds of Flesh will also be on the tour, which is being called the “US Torture Tour.”
So far, only two dates have leaked out.
They are November 30 in Asbury Park, New Jersey, at the Stone Pony, and December 6 in Miami at Grand Central.
Hour of Penance guitarist Giulio Moschini told us a while back that the band dropped off the Slaughter Survivors tour to hook up with Cannibal.
OK…he didn’t flat out say it was Cannibal, but we figured it out.
“We had a better offer this fall in the U.S.,” Moschini explained. “I don’t know if I can talk to you on the record about it yet; I don’t have the green light yet. It’s some big bands, so we just went with that offer because it seems better for us.”
I pressed him for more, and he said the trek would feature bands “that inspired us. We heard the name and we said we were in. This fall tour will be amazing.”
