That works for me. I’m sold.
Yes, yes — I know Alice In Chains aren’t exactly metal. But they do have metal characteristics and traits, and they’re one of the best bands to emerge from the Seattle scene, if not the best.
Yes, better than Nirvana.
Now, Alice In Chains are looking to drop their next disc in March or April.
The forthcoming LP was produced by Nick Raskulinecz.
Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell tells Revolver Magazine — that bastion of corporate metal sexism — the album will not disappoint longtime fans.
“I don’t think you’ll be surprised by anything you hear,” he says. “It’s us.”
But it’s more than that, too, he says.
“It’s also really unique. It’s got all the elements of any record we’ve put out, but it’s unlike any record we’ve put out. Basically it’s the next chapter in the Alice In Chains book, and it’s going to be a big one.”
Today, you can digitally purchase the album’s first single, “Hollow,” through the usual outlets.
