People argue America gets the best tours, and maybe we do get a lot of awesome bills coming through our various towns, but when it comes to dope, unique treks, Europe wins out every time.
Case in point: Reactivated British extreme metal legends Carcass will actually be opening for Amon Amarth on the band’s upcoming European tour. Should be the other way around, just based on legacy, but that’s fine.
I’d kill to see that. Seriously. Call me, Lambesis. We’ll talk.
“We are extremely happy and flattered to have been invited by the mighty Amon Amarth on their forthcoming raids upon the fatherland and it’s borders,” says Carcass’ Jeff Walker.
“Carcass has not played a club tour in Germany for TWENTY YEARS!!! Yes, I repeat: TWENTY YEARS!”
That’s a long time. Most of you are still hovering around that age, I bet.
“This is gonna be great, with both bands playing songs from their new killer albums, Deceiver Of The Gods and Surgical Steel,” Walker adds. “Anglo-Nordic Death Metal über Deutschland!”
