My male G-spot is tingling.
This may be the best rumor ever. I’ve always said I’d love two bands to release new efforts: Faith No More and Carcass. Both bands legitimately blew my mind the first time I heard them.
Now, Blabbermouth claims to have heard a rumor that reactivated British extreme metal act Carcass putting the finishing touches on their first studio album in 17 years with acclaimed producer Colin Richardson.
If this is true, I’m actually going to smile. For the first time in years.
The band has yet to secure a label home for the effort, which is expected in early 2013.
Carcass is also said to be in the process of booking a number of live shows for 2013, including appearances an already announced appearance at next year’s Maryland Deathfest and Chile’s Metal Fest.
Carcass’ last album Swansong dropped in 1996.
Before most of you were even sperm and eggs.
I just don’t even know what to say. This is awesome. If it’s true, it’ll easily be the most anticipated album in the history of metal.
Watch: No other metal acts will release albums the same day as Carcass. How could they?
