Hydra Head has announced plans for some Cave In vinyl reissues.
An expanded 12-inch version of the band’s 1999 EP Creative Eclipses is being prepped for release.
The vinyl reissue will boast a bunch of “unreleased tracks,” according to the label.
A limited repress of the band’s White Silence LP on red and blue marble vinyl is also in the works.
More information as we get it, people.
By the way, Cave In’s a band you should look into if you’ve never heard them before. They actually rank somewhere in my top 20 favorite bands of all time.
In fact, let’s listen to one of Cave In’s greatest triumphs, the vinyl reissue-worthy Until Your Heart Stops, right now.
[UPDATE: Someone calling themselves “Anonymous Pussy” has questioned my allegiance to Cave In, pointing out that Creative Eclipses — which I honestly haven’t listened to in years — marked the beginning of the band’s sound shift, and that the EP contains no screaming, when I’d said it did. Sorry, “Anonymous Pussy.” I guess my aging memory failed me this time. “Anonymous Pussy” also noted that Until Your Heart Stops was reissued on vinyl in 2013. Since I don’t own a record player, and hardly have any vinyl, I never purchased that reissue, and hence, never needed to remember that it came out in 2013. I apologize for not living up to your expectations, “Anonymous Pussy.”]
