Cave In’s White Silence To Drop May 24

White Silence

So, in short…there’s new Cave In music coming in less than two months. This is obviously exciting news, which I just read over at MetalSucks.

An astute reader of the site noticed that Cave In’s White Silence is slated for a May 24 release on Amazon.com. Hydra Head’s heads are probably fuming right now, but that’s a casualty of the business in 2011 — you’ve got to give sellers a heads-up if they’re going to carry your product. I bet a Cave In fan who works at Amazon is responsible for getting this information up.

But as Vince Neilstein points out, Amazon hasn’t always been a reliable source for new release information; half the time, I think labels just change release dates because someone blew their skirts up. But the listing did feature the album’s cover art (that’s not changing) and a track list (also not going to change).

The album will feature the title track, “White Silence,” as the opener, followed by the songs “Serpents,” “Sing My Loves,” “Vicious Circles,” “Centered,” “Summit Fever,” “Heartbreaks, Earthquakes,” “Iron Decibels,” and teh closer, “Reanimation.”

I can’t wait for new Cave In. And if you’re not into Cave In or are too young to know them, well — you just lost cool points, fucker. Many demerits.
