Right now, two of the site’s intrepid columnists are hard at work on new albums. Mark Hunter and Chimaira have just hit the studio to start tracking new music.
And as you know from the other day, Dave Davidson — who writes a food column for the site — is also in the studio with Revocation, working on a new album.
So I have been informed that while these two monsters are in the studio, chances are they’ll not be focused on writing columns for my dumb ass, you dig?
Which is why there was a lull in columns from Jesse while Killswitch Engage were in the studio and on tour. A lull in Adler Chatters can be blamed on Chris’ need to remain relatively mum while this whole thing in Prague plays out.
When band dudes are super busy or need to stay under the radar for greater reasons than being snowed under with work, they can’t write for free for you and me.
So, let’s hope Mark gets his vocals tracked quickly, so we’ll get some more of his poetic genius soon. And let’s also hope Revocation get that album done soon, so Dave can get out and eat more.
Yes, this was a lot of build up to the fact that the recording of Chimaira’s forthcoming album is underway.
I am sure the guys will be keeping up up-to-date on what’s what, when there’s what’s what to report.
New Chimaira, new Killswitch, new Revocation…maybe 2013 isn’t the year of the Cannibal Corpse, but the year of the GSA columnists?
