That’s just what we need.
While I appreciate and support the courage of Ai Weiwei, we don’t need a metal record from the Chinese dissident and countercultural artist.
It will be called Divina Commedia, after the poem by Italian poet Dante.
The effort was inspired by Ai Weiwei’s three month plight behind bars in China back in 2011. He defected to the states.
Two of the songs on the CD — which will be out in about three weeks — are dedicated to Chen Guangcheng, the civil rights crusader who escaped incarceration from a Chinese prison while blind and on an injured ankle.
I bet it sounds like Dio.
