Chris Amott Leaves Ghost Ship Octavius

Chris Amott

Chris Amott leaves bands like I leave women — disappointed. And he’s leaving them all the time.

I kid. Partially.

Yes, guitarist Christopher Amott has left Ghost Ship Octavius, the new band featuring former God Forbid and Himsa guitarist Matt Wicklund and drummer Van Williams.

“I’m focusing entirely on a new Armageddon album. We are in rehearsals at the moment. There’s a lot of news to be announced, new members and so forth. We have almost completed writing the album.”

Ghost Ship’s vocalist is 17-year-old Adon Fanion, whose style, character and lyrics are said to “extend far beyond his years.”

The band is now looking for both a label home and a new guitarist.
