I happen to love Chris Cornell’s voice. I think the dude can really belt ‘em out. Yes, I’d much rather be bringing you news of a Soundgarden reunion tour. Alas, the only tour dates we’ve got are ones featuring Chris and only Chris, presumably playing songs from Audioslave, Soundgarden, and his solo releases.
Called “The Songbook Tour,” it will be Cornell’s first-ever solo acoustic run. I wonder if Soundgarden will ever end up touring again. It’s seeming less and less likely, isn’t it?
The tour will run from April through May and “spotlight songs from throughout his illustrious career, as well as a few surprise covers,” a press release says. The release further says that “to see Chris perform unplugged, up close and personal” is “an event many fans have been eagerly anticipating for years.”
Is that so? I’d think there’d be more anticipation for a Soundgarden tour, but what the fuck do I know?
