Clutch Perform New Songs In New Jersey

Fan-filmed video proves fresh material rocks

As I type this, mere hours remain to 2014.

Frankly, I am glad to see this year come to a close. But I was also glad to see 2013 end as well. Let’s just say the last two years haven’t been as stellar as other years in my life have been.

I’d say I’m optimistic for 2015, but that would just be a blatant lie. I expect this next year will be just as soul-crushing as 2014 was.

Before I forget…Clutch played some fresh material when they rolled through Sayreville, New Jersey, earlier this week.

I totally fucking missed the show. Slipped my mind it was happening. But that’s neither here nor there.

If you want to see video footage captured by people who were actually in attendance, head to the end of this post.

You’ll get to hear a couple of new Clutch tunes live. To my ears, they were pretty rippin’ so, have a taste below, and let us know if they resounded with you.

Anyways, like I was saying, I’m glad 2014 is gasping its last breaths. It was a year filled with monumental disappointments and harsh realizations, both for me personally and as the apparatus that controls this site day in, day out.

I feel like support for GSA simply waned over this past year — the first year that has happened since the site’s launch. Facebook analytics and ad revenues don’t lie — for reasons unknown to me, the site has plateaued. This, in turn, has eroded much of my passion for running the site. In fact, this year, GSA actually felt more like work than it did fun. Perhaps that’s come across in my writing.

I’m not sure what 2015 holds for GSA or me, but I’m really not sure how much longer I can keep going if nothing changes soon.

Have a safe night out there tonight, people. And may you sincerely have an amazing 2015.
