The split’s cover

Sometimes, when two bands come together, they release what we call in the industry “a split.”

It is thusly called because the time allocated to each “split” release, whether it be a full-length, EP, or 7-inch, is divided — or “split” — between the two bands. Make sense?

Of course it does. You’re not 3. If you are 3, mad props for finding one of the webernet’s best sites at such an early age.

Today, folks, we’re announcing an epic contest of monumental proportions.

We are giving away blackened war metal band Throne of Sacrilege‘s split release with Indiana-based outfit Impurium, which Orchestrated Misery is releasing.

If your luck sucks and you’d rather just support the scene by purchasing the disc, go here.

We’ve got a single copy of the split to give out to one of our lucky readers. Ain’t that some shit!

For a taste of what you’re in for if you do win, proceed to the end of this post.

So, here’s what you need to do to enter.

Between now and October 18, go like GunshyAssassin on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter or Instagram (or do all three), so you’ll always have access to all the latest in heavy metal news and cheap, shameless entertainment.

Once you have liked or followed us (or if you already do), prove it: Take a screen shot of your computer’s desktop, showing us that you have liked or have followed one of our social media pages.

Then, take that image, scale it down a bit, and send it in an email to [email protected] with “Split Me” in the subject heading.

I’m serious: Make sure you size those screen shot pics down, because if you send files that are too big, you may get an error message returned.

We will pick the winner October 20, and let them know by email they’ve won.

Good luck to you! Now, enjoy the following tune from Impurium.
