Converge have announced two shows. Yes, just two shows. They go down in December, no where near New York. Bummed, am I.
The first show happens December 8 in Denver, Colorado, at the Maruis Theatre with a band called Git Some and another band called Glass Hits opening. The other show happens December 9 in Seattle, with Narrows, Black Breath, Heiress, Devotion, and Cascabel — hot fucking damn!
“We’ve been hard at work on a number of things lately: Writing, recording, and touring with our other bands (APMD, Doomriders), etc.,” the band says in a statement.
“Though our schedules have been packed, we’ve made some time for two shows to close out the year. One is a makeup show for when our transmission exploded on the Axe To Fall tour, and another is to celebrate a birthday for a friend.”
That’s rad. I wish I had friends like that. My friends always just want stuff from me.
“PS: We know we need to make up a few more shows in other cities as well. We will get to them as soon as we are able. Thanks for your patience,” Converge assures.
The band also confirmed that not only is their new album moving forward, but they are also making some headway on their upcoming DVD. On top of that, there’s a 12″ LP version of Unloved And Weeded Out on the way.
