Convulse Returning After 18-Year Hiatus

Oh yeah, dude. You know you’re about to sprout wood.

Convulse are returning after an 18-year break.

The band’s already played a few reunion gigs, and is confirmed for the 2013 Maryland Deathfest.

Convulse promise more live appearances will be announced soon.

A new Convulse vinyl EP — with two brand-new tracks — will be available starting in November.

A new full-length album will be ready for release in 2013 through Svart Records.

“Our new material has a strong old school death metal feel to it, and the band is tighter than ever before,” says Rami Jämsä, frontman and guitarist for Convulse.

“When recording, we plan to concentrate on the energy brought on by playing everything live — no triggers or ProTools,” he says.

“Nothing beats a well-rehearsed band playing live, be it on stage or in the studio.”
