Not that you or I were looking for insight, but Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor’s more than happy to oblige.
Dude went online to post that photo — a “tidbit” — which shows part of the story behind the band’s fourth album, House Of Gold And Bones.
The two-part concept effort is being produced by David Bottrill; the first part will be released this fall and the second, early next year.
Taylor has previously said the new one was “a morality play about a man who’s standing at the crossroads of his life trying to figure out what to do next.
“He’s going, ‘Do I move foward and evolve? Do I become more responsible or do I run backwards and pilfer the basket of youth?’ Sometimes it’s romantic to live in the mistakes that you made when you were 20, and condemn yourself to perpetual adolescence.”
That “tidbit” provides nothing more than words on a screen. We have no frame of reference, so therefore, all this is was another cocktease for true fans.
I read it. It’s actually well-written, which surprised me. Boring? A touch. But well-written all the same.
