Poor Corey Taylor.
He doesn’t get to front a fourteenth fucking band. Ah shucks! It’s just not fair.
Corey Taylor should be the new frontman for Velvet Revolver. He deserves the gig, and after Slash explained recently why Corey wasn’t the dude that would replace Scott Weiland in a band too many people care about. Kind of like Slipknot.
I think at this point, Stone Sour might be more popular than Slipknot. At least it seems like its more fun for Corey Taylor. He wants to tour with them forever.
During a recent radio interview with some Canadians, Taylor responded to Slash’s statement that he was not the solution “to the Velvet Revolver problem.”
“We got together and we jammed some stuff and I guess it just wasn’t working for him, which… He’s Slash and he’s entitled to have that, and I’m not gonna argue with him,” Corey said. “But it was cool to just be able to get together and jam with those guys and I made some really cool friends. Me and Duff [McKagan] are really close. It’s one more thing I can say I did.”
So blame Slash for a Corey Taylor-less Velvet Revolver.
