I’m not sure why, but I was wholly unaware of Craw’s crowd-funding campaign until yesterday.
It’s probably because I don’t have MySpace, and that seems to be the band’s sole choice for social networking space. And that’s OK. Facebook isn’t for everyone.
Craw are from Ohio and are still semi-active. Their final album came out on Hydra Head in 2002, but the goal of their crowd-funding campaign is to reissue the three amazing albums that came before that.
As a side note, Craw also shared a drummer (Will Scharf) with the Hydra Head band Keelhaul.
Craw’s crowd-funding campaign’s got a week to go, and they could use your help.
If you’re the type of person who talks all the time about supporting music, it’s time to step up to the plate. Craw made some of the craziest music I have ever heard, and deserve a few of your dollars.
Go here to support the effort.
Worth noting: Both Aaron Turner from Isis and Palms, and Mike Hill from Tombs provide spoken testimonials on the Kickstarter video.
Go give Craw some assistance.
