It’s not every day we have filmmakers write us to say they check out the site, and would appreciate help promoting one of their projects. So, when Micheal Neel of Grim Films wrote us about “Infinite Santa 8000,” I was intrigued and checked out the trailer.
It follows at the end of this post, by the way.
The movie, his email says, is about “a cyborg Santa Claus fighting mutants and robo people in the year 8,000…to a bitchin’ metal soundtrack.”
Anthony J. Resta, who has collaborated with Megadeth and Jane’s Addiction’s Perry Farrell, worked on the songs for the soundtrack, and “knows what to do with a double-kick drum,” Neel says.
“The film is coming out on December 1 on VOD, and we would be very appreciative if you could give us some advance press.”
This work, dude?
Interesting concept for a film, I must say. I write screenplays too, but they’re mostly about underdogs who romanticize about shit they’ll never have.
“I want to reach out to the metal community,” Neel tells us.
The “Infinite Santa 8000″ movie is based on a cult Web series of the same name (which also features a metal soundtrack), “and we have a loyal following of metalheads.”
Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
