Dave Grohl Announces L.A. Gig For Park City Players

Good fuck, do I wish I lived in Los Angeles sometimes!

It’s only when shows like this are announced, though. Because something tells me this won’t be happening in New York, the city of my birth and the city I fucking love.

The same Voltron-esque team Dave Grohl has assembled for a gig at Park City Live in Park City, Utah, on January 18 will play L.A. on January 31.

Dave’s Sound City Players include some of the biggest names in rock from over the ages, including John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, and fucking Rick Springfield. The players also include Chris Goss of Masters Of Reality, Nirvana’s Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic, Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett of the Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine’s Brad Wilk, Lee Ving of Fear, and two dudes from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The show will celebrate the release of Dave’s new documentary about Sound City, the now defunct recording studio of legend.

The “Sound City” soundtrack follows the February 1 release of the film, hitting stores March 12.
